We have sprouts!
I was beginning to think that I was just not patient enough to be a gardener. Going out every morning to water and check for any growth was getting a bit frustrating as every morning I was let down as there was no change. Then we went to Breckenridge for 4 days. When we got back, I was welcomed back with a great surprise, pea, green bean, carrot, lettuce and watermelon sprouts! At that moment I wished my life was in a move and the song I'm So Excited by the Pointer Sisters could have started to play! I will post pictures soon...:)

And the Gardening Begins...
Today my friend Michelle and I started a vegetable garden in my back yard. Her daughter Addison and Hannah were our little helpers. They were so cute and excited. We figured I had more than enough room and with having the summer off, I could take care of it. We shall see how green my thumb is.
We decided to begin with a small garden. A magazine Michelle had said a 6x4 was a good size to start with. The ground is mostly clay so we had to mix in ten bags of compost and garending soil. We then planted a combination of seed and plants. We have two kinds of tomato plants, cucumber, jalapeno and bell pepper plants. For seeds we planted, watermelon, pumpkin, pea, green beans, lettuce and carrot seeds. I am so excited to see the seeds begin to sprout and the plants to begin to produce. Hopefully in the next week I can post new pictures!
